Thank Heavens Paris Is Home!

I am so glad to hear that Paris Hilton is back at home again - to serve forty days house arrest - I can't stand it!

While the media and pseudo-news outlets were busy covering her panty selection and skin care product allowances, the world was marching on...

- North Korea fired off a few short-range missiles - just a test.

- The Nasdaq obtained a significant foothold in the European marketplace by finally making a deal to purchase OMX, the operator of seven Nordic and Baltic exchanges.

- Some more troops lost their lives in Iraq

- Russia announced that they will not participate in joint lunar exploration with NASA (who, by the by, just sent their resident space-playboy Bill Oefelein back to the Navy, following the upset, between his girlfriend and his other girlfriend, that may land one of these two "professional" ladies to serve 25 years in prison and the other in a court martial hearing).

- And the Pentagon has said that China is modernizing their military in a way that would enable them to launch attacks (surprise) far outside their borders.

I'm guessing that the Hilton incident is not yet deemed un-newsworthy, despite this anticlimactic ending of her probation violation saga....but I keep hoping!
